What a group...after just two days these students are showing immense progression, camaraderie and determination! So, today we woke up to some fresh snow on the ground and more fell for the first couple of hours. This fresh layer allowed the beginners' skis to glide more smoothly, whilst the additional centimetres "up top" provided nothing but smiles for the more experienced skiers. It would be over-exuberant to describe the conditions as champagne powder, however, the pistes have a very strong base and are allowing great access overall. In the afternoon, strong wind brought the temperatures down greatly, and all those bases layers, neckwarmers and face masks were out in force.
The students never cease to amaze us with their energy...just as you think they are running a bit into their reserves, they bounce back ready for the next session. After speed mountain last night we had an evening of "games" where the table football and the pool table were the arenas for some jovial but hard-fought competition. Some might say that the adults should have been less competitive, whilst equally others might suggest the students learnt a valuable life lesson!
This evening we look forward to floodlit bumboarding after the evening meal which the majority of students have opted for. Photos to follow tomorrow!
